Welcome!

My Bridge Tools makes tools for people who play Bridge, the card game. Contrary to what you might think, my Bridge tools will not play Bridge with you! For that there are plenty of entertaining products available on the Internet. Instead, I aim to provide you with the smart Bridge tools you've always wanted.

This website is my simple online store. I only have a few products. Ordering is by email and payment is via PayPal or EFT. Some products can only be ordered via the Apple App Store.

Please note that some of my Bridge tools are specific to Rubber Bridge, based on Standard American 5-Card Major Bridge bidding conventions and scoring rules (see also About).

My Bridge Applications (Apps) - An Integrated Family

BSP

My Bridge Bidding & Scoring Pad app (Bridge BSP) is a very convenient administrative tool for people who like to play Rubber Bridge in the comfort of their own homes. This app keeps track of the bidding and it also does the scoring for you. The four players deliver their bids on a shared iPad in the middle of the Bridge table. After declaring a contract and playing the cards, the number of tricks taken is entered by Declarer. The scores are automatically calculated and displayed on a traditional-style score sheet. No need for manual scoring any more. If you have an iPad, my Bridge Bidding & Scoring Pad (Bridge BSP) can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store. Before you do that you might like to click or tap the icon inside the shield to view the User Manual/Tutorial.

HA

My Bridge Hand Analyzer app (Bridge HA) is designed to assist players while learning to play Bridge. It is based on standard American 5-Card Major bidding conventions. After receiving and sorting the cards it will take you about 20 seconds to enter them into Bridge HA, and at the press of a button you will then be able to receive a recommendation for a good Opening bid based on that hand. My Bridge HA app is primarily intended for self-study, but it may be used at the Bridge table if the three other players agree. If you have an iPhone or an Android phone, my Bridge Hand Analyzer (Bridge HA) can be downloaded for free from your App Store. Before you do that you might like to click or tap the icon inside the shield to view the User Manual/Tutorial.

About My Bridge App Design and Documentation

Bridge is an old card game, deeply steeped in tradition. Bidding pads and scoring pads were filled in on paper for more than half a century. For one of my Bridge apps (Bridge BSP) I decided to retain the appearance of traditional style bidding and scoring pads, even though they are now displayed on computer screens. Please note that my other Bridge apps are all specific to Standard American 5-Card Major bidding conventions. It is a specific feature of my Bridge apps that they don't require you to know much about computers. I try to keep it simple. This becomes very evident if you read my user manuals: they are written from the user's point of view in plain English, not technical Gobbledygook. If you know a bit about playing Bridge, my apps will be easy for you to operate. I aim for my Bridge apps to be so intuitive that you don't even need a user manual. Nevertheless, by publishing a user manual I can provide you with some additional information you might find useful. By the way, all my user manuals double up as tutorials. If you are interested in one or more of my Bridge apps, I encourage you to download the relevant user manual even before you decide to download the app. You can so by clicking the relevant shield-shaped image just a bit further up on this page.

About My Bridge Tools

Hello, I'm Sven Eriksen. I run My Bridge Tools, an Australian online company that develops smart tools for people who play Bridge, arguably the World's most satisfying card game.

My Bridge tools are primarily aimed at players who enjoy playing Bridge as a means of socialising with friends and family. People who prefer to do this in the comfort of their own homes at a time convenient to them and their friends. People who are less interested in the competitive aspects of the game and more interested in enjoying an intellectual challenge in the company of personal friends.

If you fit that description, my Bridge tools are for you.

I am happy for you to email me at sven@eriksen.com.au if you have any queries.
